Product Description

Browning BLR Lightweight ’81 Stainless Takedown .308 Win Rifle, 20 Inch, Satin Finish, Browning 034015118

Rugged and rowdy, right down to its very core, the BLR Lightweight ’81 Stainless is ready to take on the toughest hunting conditions you (and Mother Nature) can dish out. The satin finish on the laminated gray hardwood stock, the satin-nickel finish on the receiver and the matte finish on the stainless barrel mean no reflections will spook your trophy buck. The TRUGLO/Marbles fiber-optic front sight lets you draw a fine bead in low light conditions. This is what a serious lever-action hunting rifle should be, and what every other lever-action wishes it was.

–The button-Rifled barrel is triple-checked for straightness and interior finish and then air-gauged to ensure a consistent diameter throughout the bore’s length.
–Every BLR barrel is individually finished with a hand-reamed chamber for tighter tolerances and more precise headspace.
–The barrel’s target-type Crown enables a more uniform release of gas as the bullet exits the muzzle, helping prevent any unwanted shift in bullet trajectory. The barrel Crown is recessed to help protect it from accidental impact damage that can degrade accuracy.
–The barrel’s standard sights include a Low-Profile adjustable square notch rear sight and a high-visibility fiber-optic front blade on a raised ramp-style base.?
–The satin nickel finish on the receiver beautifully matches the satin stainless barrel finish.
–The takedown models of the BLR are unique, allowing you to simply flip a finger lever, twist the receiver and barrel 90 degrees and instantly separate the two parts for space saving storage or easy transportation, even in a backpack or hunting duffle. Reassembly is in reverse order and takes only seconds.
–The barrel on BLR Takedown models is factory drilled and tapped for an optional Browning forward-mounted scout-style scope base to provide a rock-solid optics mounting platform, allowing you to remove the barrel for transportation and storage without losing your scope’s zero.
–The aircraft grade alloy receiver is precision machined to provide outstanding reliability and years of dependable service.
–The slick-sided receiver houses the BLR’s lightning fast, glass-smooth rack and pinion lever action.
–The BLR has a rotating multi-lug bolt head that locks into the barrel extension to produce bolt-action accuracy and magnum-level strength.
–The BLR is one of the few lever-action rifle designs that is strong enough to use today’s most popular magnum cartridges, giving you the extended reach and flat bullet trajectory other lever-action owners can only dream of.
–The BLR has a recessed bolt face that surrounds the cartridge head for added strength and lasting dependability.
–The BLR’s generously-sized side ejection port allows fired cases to instantly clear the action without hitting you or your scope and bouncing back onto the receiver, potentially creating a jam.
–The folding hammer on the BLR provides an added measure of safety when the hammer is at half-cock, having two positions in that mode so the status of the rifle can be instantly seen and felt.
–The folding hammer on the BLR has four basic positions; Full-cock, half-cock, folded hammer position and the dropped or fired position.
–The BLR’s trigger is unique in that it travels along with the lever as it’s cycled, meaning that pinching your fingers between the lever and trigger on closing the action is a thing of the past.
–The fingerpiece on the BLR’s trigger is nice and wide with vertical friction ribs to prevent your finger from slipping, giving you more precise trigger control for those demanding long-range shots.
–The detachable steel box magazine makes for quick reloading, both in the field and on the range.
–Unlike lever actions with tubular magazines, the BLR’s detachable steel box magazine lets you use aerodynamically-superior pointed bullets, which opens up a whole new world of ballistic performance that is usually found in bolt-action and autoloading rifles.
–Magazine capacity is 3 rounds in the magnum calibers and 4 rounds in standard calibers.
–The BLR’s laminated stock is sculpted from a satin gray finished hardwood for no-nonsense durability and the cut checkering in the grip and fore-end is crisply executed for lasting good looks and a more solid grip.

All firearms and accessories listed on this website are Factory NEW IN BOX, complete with all factory included parts, accessories, literature, packaging, etc. In order to save time, we generally use “stock photos” of the products that are listed. As such, these pictures generally do not include items such as the box, manual, or included accessories. They also do not necessarily accurately represent details such as wood grain or wood color, as these details will vary widely. Purchasing a firearm online is simple and very similar to any online shopping experience. The difference is that we cannot send the firearm to you. Instead, we have to send the Firearm to a Local Gun Shop or FFL Dealer near you, and you pick your product up there.

We only need two things from YOU to complete and process a firearm purchase online:

  1. Method of Payment.
  2. Federal Firearms License (FFL): We will ship to a local FFL dealer of your choice. Any legitimate gun store and/or gun dealer has an FFL license. You can also check with your local pawn shops.

How to arrange a shipment and transfer:

  1. Find a licensed FFL Dealer in your area:
    • Ask the dealer about their FFL transfer fee (usually around $25.00, but varies by dealer). Provide your dealer with our fax number (435-938-9816) or Email (123FFL@gmail.com) where they can send a copy of their FFL (if not already on file). To Help Speed Up Your Order : Please ask your FFL Dealer to write your Order Number, Name, and Firearm on any corresponding paperwork you or your FFL may send us.
  2. AK, HI and other outlying areas have a higher shipping rate.

We accept payment via Cash, Money Order, Cashier’s Check, Personal Check (with 7 day hold), and Credit Cards- including Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.  We do not charge any additional fees for payment by credit or debit cards!

All orders will attempt to be shipped within 3 Business Days of the time the order is completely processed.

The number of days UPS / USPS counts to deliver a package is based upon “Business Days.” A business day does NOT include Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays, and the day the package was picked up on. For example, if you package was picked up on Tuesday for 2nd Day Air delivery, the package will arrive on Thursday, since Tuesday does not count as a delivery day.

IMPORTANT: When you pick up the firearm at your FFL, please inspect the product thoroughly and confirm that this is the product you ordered, and that there are no defects. If there are any problems with your purchase, simply Do Not Accept The Transfer. We will gladly have the firearm shipped back to us at our expense and provide you with your choice of a replacement or full refund.

Any Firearm that you have accepted and transferred from your dealer is NON-RETURNABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.

CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING THAT THE FIREARM YOU ORDER IS LEGAL IN YOUR STATE. In the case that a firearm has been shipped to to a state where the firearm is not legal, the customer will be charged a 15% restocking fee.

Once you accept transfer, the gun is considered used and must be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty repair or replacement.

In the case that a customer is declined in their ATF Form 4473, the customer is responsible for a 15% restocking fee.

All other merchandise returns:  Original shipping and handling fees are not refundable. Offers are subject to adjustment due to returns, cancellations, and exchanges.
Order Cancellation: If for any reason you decide that you are unable to complete an order, we reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee to cancel the order and re-list the item.

For Pick Up In-Store Orders: Please note that we operate BY APPOINTMENT ONLY for ALL walk-in traffic.  Please give us a call or shoot us an email to arrange an appointment.  Orders placed online can be picked up immediately (during normal business hours). All Pick Up In-Store orders must be picked up within 5 business days after order is placed UNLESS SPECIFIC ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE AT THE TIME OF ORDER! Pick Up In-Store orders that have not been picked up within this period of time will be cancelled without further notice! (PLEASE NOTE: This policy only applies to orders that have not been paid for with a credit card).
